Praise the Lord that the EXODUS campaign is underway to build a new 20 bed facility at the Modesto Gospel Mission!  Exodus is the first 30 days of our successful New Life Program, which provides all the resources necessary for a total life transformation, and the power to escape a life of addiction and defeat on the streets. 

Drug and alcohol abuse brings devastation to lives throughout our community.  As city and county services continue to shrink, the need is greater than ever before and we find ourselves with a continuing and growing waiting list of men who are seeking permanent change in their lives. 

The Exodus expansion is vital because when many of our guests come, they might be motivated only by their need for a meal, clothing, a warm bed or perhaps just a shower.  They don’t really believe there is any hope for their despair, but they are suddenly surrounded by smiles and images of the New Life program participants rising out of that despair—often times the very same people they saw on the streets at their lowest, but now have begun a New Life!  This is the critical first step we can’t afford to miss.
